Interactive Data Dashboards Created for the Maine CDC

The Disease Prevention Epidemiology team, within Muskie's PHHP Program and contracted by and embedded within the Maine Center for Disease Control (CDC), created three interactive data dashboards over the past year. These dashboards are now live on the Maine CDC website. The dashboards allow for spatial and temporal trends of essential Maine-specific public health data at the county and public health district level:

The Maine’s Youth Health Data Atlas provides data on various health topics affecting Maine's middle and high school students collected by the Maine Integrated Youth Health Survey. Muskie staff contributors include: Finn Teach, MPP; Sara L. Huston, PhD; Erika Lichter, ScD; and Mary Caron, MPH (‘18).

The Prevention and Control of Diabetes, Heart Disease, and Obesity Dashboards include data on diabetes, heart disease, stroke, overweight and obesity, physical activity, and nutrition among Maine adults and youth. Muskie staff contributors are: Pamela Foster Albert, MPH; Caitlin Pizzonia, MPH; Finn Teach, MPP; and Sara L. Huston, PhD.

Maine’s Disease Prevention Dashboard displays current and past data of 20 key surveillance indicators monitored by the Maine CDC Division of Disease Prevention at the state, county, and district-level to detect significant changes over time. Muskie staff contributors include: Caitlin Pizzonia, MPH;  Sara L. Huston, PhD; Erika Lichter, ScD; Finn Teach, MPP;  and Mary Caron, MPH (‘18).
