CTEL offers the following grants programs during AY15-16 to support teaching and learning initiatives that can lead to high-quality learning experiences for students at USM.
Please note: All grants are open to all instructors.
- Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Grants
Up to $1,500 per faculty, per academic year is available for purchase of hardware, software, and other resources to support teaching and learning initiatives. Faculty teaching classes in face-to-face, blended, and online formats are encouraged to apply.
- CTEL Course Redesign Grants
Up to $1,500 per faculty, per academic year is available for redesign of online or blended courses previously taught at USM.
- CTEL Course Design Grants
CTEL will sponsor technology enhanced Course Design grants for USM faculty (full time, part time or adjunct) for $1500. This grant is open to courses that have never been taught before at USM in any format, or courses that haven’t been taught in either the online or blended format.
- Course Innovation Grants
CTEL invites faculty (both full- and part-time) to apply for funding to support the development or redesign of innovative hybrid or fully online courses. The Course Innovation Grant program is designed to promote high-quality digitally enhanced learning. Each project will be awarded up to $1,500. Collaborative proposals involving multiple courses and faculty are encouraged.
